girona1 passeig

Girona is the capital of the Spanish province of the same name and of the Catalan comarca of the Girončs.

Although not as popular as Barcelona, this beautiful medieval city is as nice for sightseeing and pleasure. The centre has many narrow cobbled lanes and offers many historic sites like the magnificient cathedral, the arab baths, the church of Sant Feliu or the jewish quarter.
The Passeig de la Muralla ,the medieval city wall, is spectacular. You can walk along the old city and see most of all of Girona's historic center. There are plenty of towers where you can climb up to the top for a closer view. Also there are spots where other areas of the historic city are accessible. You will also walk past many of the interesting gardens that are kept safe within the walls. These are great places to checkout the medieval gardens and layered quarters.
